Damaged
Slowly, her ice blue eyes opened up. Yawning, she gracefully got herself up; stretching out her limbs. Licking herself modestly, she cleaned her creamy fur, inside her large comfortable cat-bed. She wasn't a perfectionist, not like she use to be before she joined the Jellicle Community, when it came down to cleaning her fur. Living with the jellicles, she knew she wasn't going to be amazingly clean all the time. They were surrounded by junk and mounds of dirt. Still, she cleaned herself to the point where she was still presentable, and her fur healthy and beautiful. As soon as she had finished cleaning herself, she left her bed, in search of her food dish. Noilly Pratt smiled softly, once she got to her food. There was new food, sweet moist food, in her bowl. She ate some of it, enjoying it all the while, but decided to eat the rest of it later. She planned to spend some time with her humans, finish her food, and then head off to the junkyard. She meowed in surprise when she felt one of the adult humans picking her up. She flicked her head, staring up at the human male. He held her in his arms, before putting her down into an enclosed pen that she had never seen before. Glancing around confused, her tail slipped around her ankles, timidly. That was when she saw a silver, white, and grey long-haired male cat. He looked to be a purebred Norwegian Forest Cat. And indeed he was.
Eying the tom who she noticed immediately was staring intently at her, she asked politely,”Who are you?”
He was a tom that she had never seen before and she wrinkled her nose up at the new scent of the male. Plus the incredibly intense stare he had on her was making her nervous. She had honestly never had such strong emotions flood through her before. She had always lived inside this protective bubble, due her mother and her mothers humans and now her own humans. It'd only been recently that she's learned more about the world, since wandering into the junkyard on a harmless walk and becoming a jellicle. Even now, she hadn't made too many connections with the jellicles. Aside from working alongside Jennyanydots and becoming her friend, she never really gotten strong emotions before. She was trained to be proper and to retain some dignity and pride.
“I'm to be you're breeding partner. You and I. We're breeding cats for the humans.”
My humans would do that to me? She questioned herself. She really didn't want to believe that. She knew her mother, and her mother had seemed so happy there. Was she subjected to forced matings? Was she one of her mothers kittens that she was forced to have? Did she have a lot of siblings that got sold to other humans who wanted tabby-tipped Himalayans? Was she the only one kept, because her humans thought she'd be the best of the litters to be their new breeding cat, when her mother got to the age where she could no longer conceive? There were so many questions running through her mind. She gazed back up towards her humans, hoping what this strange cat wasn't telling the truth.
The human male gazed at her with a twinkle in his eye. “Look Helena. They're interested in each other.”
She chuckled a little under her breath, the two cats were staring at each other. They were both showing a liking to one another. “Oh Malcom, lets give these two lovers some privacy.”
The pair left the cats in peace, and Noilly put on her best graceful face. It was true, and she had never been a fighter, due to her upbringing she just didn't know how to fight. Since is just wasn't in her nature, she knew this was going to happen and there was nothing she could do about it. Even so, when the male stepped forwards, she lurched backwards; easily.
He laughed,”You can't avoid me. I will make this happen.”
She still tried to avoid him, but at the last second, he pounced onto her. She yelped in surprise, before she found him pushing her onto her stomach.
“If you've never mated before, this will hurt.”
If she wasn't mistaken, he seemed to have taken some pleasure from that statement, and then that's when she felt him pushing into her. And the pain. She bit down on her lip to keep from crying out, but the tears had stung in her eyes, and trickled down her cheeks.

Violet was settling nicely into her role among the Hexes. She had already claimed a room, nice sharp things poking out just about everywhere. She had already developed quite a reputation among the lower Hexes, and even some of the more higher ranked officials, such as Ilarori, and Keiiji have taken notice to her. She has reached the ears of all the Hexes, but those higher up: Endrance, Charna, Growltiger, Leoben, and Genghis haven't given her much thought. She was going to change that soon. So far, in a month, she had gotten on the wrong side of three lower Hexes, and she took her time torturing and killing them. She was sitting in her back room, dark, aside from the small light filtering in from the slightly open door, leading into her main room. There was enough lighting up the backroom, for Violet to admire her “friends”. The heads of the three Hexes that she had murdered were lined up on a small wooden table. She didn't know their real names, just the names she had given them. Thrasher, FraidyKit, and Susie.
"I know Thrasher." She made a threatening gesture towards him.
Growling out at FraidyKit she smirked. "And she will be dealt with."
She paused, looking at Susie. Finally, she shook her head. "I will kill her eventually. But, I want to do it slowly. Yeah..." She mused. "I'll mess with her head first. She thinks she's better then me. The lead torturer. And she's crazy." She snapped and hit FraidyKit,"No one is as crazy as me. I can do her job better then she can."
Glaring at Thrasher and then at Susie, she bared her teeth. Warning them not to get on her bad side. "If I discredit her first, then no one will care if I eliminate her." Laughing, she jumped up from where shes sat. She needed a plan, she needed something to use, something to gain the advantage over Charna.
Her eyes lit up. "Endrance." Cackling like only a crazy cat could, she grinned at her friends. "In a couple months, Charna is going to be joining you three." She licked up her finger, from base to tip, with a smirk on her face. She was already thinking how good it would feel to have Charna's helpless body squirming underneath her, the taste of her blood, and the sweet sensation of her life in her paws and the feeling of her life leaving her body. Such power. It was one of the best sensations that Violet could think of.

In a haze, Noilly had walked from the classy neighborhood her humans lived in, all the way through the poor part of the city. She looked up, slowly, when she heard familiar noises. Her feet had led her to the junkyard. Although, the Jellicles who were in the immediate area didn't walk right up to her, they were staring at her. Normally, Noilly walked everywehere with such pride; with her head held high with great posture. But the Noilly they were looking at, her head was hung low, staring at the ground and her shoulders were hunched. She stood in one spot, not being able to move, or just couldn't. Finally, Tugger who was in that part of the yard with Cassandra, had left Cassie's side. Cautiously, Tugger walked up to Noilly. He was too good with queens not to notice her body tensing up as he got closer to her. He made a soothing noise,"You're among friends."
He barely grazed her cheek, but the reaction was instantaneous. The moment she felt the smooth comforting touch, she leaned into it and before she knew it, she was in the leopard toms arms. He stroked her back softy,"Everything is going to be alright."
Noilly said nothing, aside from getting more comfortable in Tugger's arms. Cassandra gave the pair a disapproving look. She really didn't get along with Noilly. The Himalayan always wore this unbreakable face. Seeing her now, in the arms of Tugger, Cassandra was convinced that Noilly was just putting on an act. Noilly could never get Tugger with her obvious cold and snobbish personality. If Cassandra wasn't good at putting up her own front; she'd be fuming.
Tugger brought Noiily's head up, and placed his paw on her cheek. "You don't have to tell me what has gotten you so shook up, but you know I'll listen if you do, gorgeous."
Gorgeous rang through Cassandra's ears and she snapped. There was no way she was going to let Noilly move in on her tom. Then Tugger would declare her, Cassandra, another fling and then start dating Noilly Pratt. Noilly felt Tugger dry under her eyes, realizing then that she had started to tear up. "I'm no-"
She was cut off, but being ripped out of Tugger's arms and pushed backwards. Luckily, Noilly still had some composure, and didn't fall flat on her butt. But she did stand there, awkwardly, with a surprised and confused expression on her face. Cassandra stood in front of her, a dangerous look on her face. She growled softly,"Who the hell do you think your are?"
Both Noilly and Tugger were stunned. Noilly was too upset, so many things were happening, that she couldn't respond to Cassandra. She was using all her strength to not break down. When Cassandra popped one of her clawed fingers at Noilly to threaten her, Tugger snapped out of his surprise. It was obvious that Cassandra was jealous of Noilly Pratt. Even though Tugger hadn't hit on Noilly at all. It was times like these when Tugger missed Jennyanydots. She didn't get jealous, the way all his queens he's been with since breaking up with Jenny, did. She pushed Noilly once more, and with open claws, took a swipe at the emotionally distraught Himalayan. A swipe that, thankfully missed, due to Tugger's intervention. Tugger had pulled her further away from Noilly, and still had a firm grip on her arm.
"Trash." Cassandra retorted, when words was her only weapon left.
Growling, something Tugger didn't do often, he spun her around to face him. The other jellicles there, by now, were trying to keep out of something that wasn't their business, but a few were watching intently; without shame. No doubt this would all get back to Panthera and be all over the junkyard before the sun set. However, the whole incident becoming the latest gossip was not on the minds of Tugger, Noilly, or Cassandra. As there were more important issues.
"Have you completely lost your mind?"
Cassandra was glaring, but in the face of the tom she was currently with, it softened slightly. "No I haven't. But I'm not blind. I wasn't about to lose you to the likes of her."
Noilly took a couple steps to the side. She was regaining some of her grace, despite her mixed and rampant emotions. They were having a lovers dispute, and unlike some of the others, she tried her best not to intrude on their privacy.
"I've got news for you honey. You were just another fling to me. You can't lose me, because you never had me to begin with. Bye, Cass." He didn't hesitate to turn, but Cassie's pleading voice stopped him.
"What? What are you saying?"
Tugger sighed in disgust. Not that he ever wanted to settle down, but there was no way he'd even want to kiss her again after that display. He was known for being cold when it came to relationships, but he had a heart. And Cassandra displayed everything just now, without one.
"I'm saying I should have broke up with you weeks ago. It's over." He added quickly,"Don't ever come to me asking for another chance or another lay. I'm not interested."
He turned hastily, and made his way to Noilly, so Cassandra wouldn't have another chance to reply to that. He must have been growing, he had actually dumped someone for a good reason. "Come on Noilly. You don't have to talk to me, but you look like you need someone."
She shook her head, her body trembling,"I...I do not even know why I am here." The thought had finally struck her.
Tugger was determined, he offered his help and he was going to see it through. He reached behind her, though as he lifted her into his arms he felt something damp. He shrugged it aside, knowing there was no way, and began walking. He exited that part of the yard; grateful to get away from Cassandra, especially when he was almost positive he heard her call him a bad name, and all of those eyes that were on them. "I'm taking you to Jenny's. She'll drop everything to help."
They both knew it. Jennyanydots was just the type of cat that would do anything to help another cat in need. Tugger was annoyed by that when he and her first started dating, but over the months he had grown to admire her for that particular trait. "You're...still fond of her, aren't you?" Noilly tried keeping her mind focused on something else.
"No."
Noilly didn't even need to look at him. She didn't believe him. "I see."
Tugger's ear flicked in annoyance. "I never had feelings for her Noilly. She was just really satisfying in other ways. Nothing to do with an emotional aspect."
Noilly could have been wrong; perhaps Tugger really didn't have those feelings. And she knew Jenny had gotten over hers and no longer had feelings for Tugger. However, if Tugger did have hidden feelings for Jenny, then she'd feel bad for him. Jenny just wasn't in that place anymore. Plus, if he'd had something for her while they were still dating and didn't tell her, then that'd have been tradgic.
To quell anymore doubt Noilly might have had, he added,"I rock their worlds. That's what I do, I don't get attached. You don't know-" He paused seeing her smirk. "What? What is it?"
She shook her head,"Oh, I heard that Jenny was the one that rocked your world."
He laughed with mirth,"She sure is a saucey queen."
Noilly agreed, but thought she needed to say another thing to Tugger. "I did not mean to imply anything. I just find it hard to believe that for someone who was dating her for as long as you were, over seven months, never developed anything for her. But still went back to her. It wasn't you who ended things; it was her. I was told that you two had started dating, on and off, before I arrived here. Forgive me, but it's just hard for me to believe you."
He shrugged,"Understandable for a classy lady like you. But it's true."
She shut her mouth then, as they reached the infirmary. He could hear Jenny's voice, and then saw Jagger walk out. The younger leopard didn't seem to be all that happy, until his eyes rested on Tugger. He grinned and Tugger commented,"Looking as sexy as ever, Jags."
Jagger shrugged,"It's a natural look. I AM sexy. Your ex is blind though."
Tugger paused his eyes narrowing a little,"You hit on her?"
"Worked for you."
"And? What am I saying, she's too old for you."
Jagger gave him a look. "Age hasn't affected her looks, I'm not prejuidiced. But that has to be the reason she doesn't want to get with me. Age. Couldn't be that she's not attracted to me. Thanks."
As Tugger walked around him, Noilly politely waved, only frowning slightly when he said,'Bye doll.' "Jealous?" Noilly questioned.
"What?"
She never finished that as they entered the den reluctantly. Tugger really hadn't spoken to Jenny since they split up. He anticipated some awkwardness, and he really didn't do well with awkward situations; then again what tom or queen did? Jenny looked up and his eyes met hers.
"Hey Jenny. Noilly needs a friend, and there's something wrong that she's been too uncomfortable to tell anyone. I figured you would be the best to handle this."
"Sit her down here." She had cleaned off some of her supplies from the closest bed. Once Noilly sat down she sighed,"Tugger, may I ask you to stay?"
He looked to Jenny, who left it up to him to decide. "If you're sure you're comfortable enough, then of course I'll stay." He sat down beside her and slipped his arm around her.
Jenny smiled at Tugger's decision, then got in front of Noilly. "So tell me what's wrong. Are you feeling ill?"
"A little, but I don't believe it had to do with me catching a sickness."
Jenny's paw was already on her forehead, checking her temperature. "Oh?" Jenny couldn't even think of what was troubling her friend.
Noilly's eyes went down to stare at her feet. "My humans...had brought a friend for me. The moment I woke up, they put us together. It was a tom, and he said that we were to be breeders."
"Did he force himself on you honey?"
Noilly shook her head yes. Tugger frowned and did the only thing he could think of, he rubbed his paw up and down her arm, curling her closer to him. That had helped,
her eyes were back up looking at Jenny. "I'm going to check you out." She paused her eyes looking down. She spotted some damp fur, that Noilly seemed to be subconsciously covering up.
"I'll need a cloth and help. Tugger?"
"Hmm? Sure." He gave Noilly a small hug then followed Jenny into a back room. "I had no idea." He spoke softly,"Will she be okay? And what do you need help with?"
"I wanted to warn you. Noilly was raped, and even though she hasn't proccessed that yet, she instinctually resisted this tom. But from what she said, he forced himself on her anyway. I think she's bleeding and might have tears. I'll mend what I can after I scan her. Tugger, I have extra cloths over there. I'm hoping I won't need more than one, but if I do."
"I'll get you one, and I'll dispose of the dirty one, too."
"Thanks." She was about to head out when Tugger put her paw on hers. Jenny locked eyes with Tugger and he attempted a small smile.
"I'm not good with this, so I'll just ask. Are we okay?"
Jenny knew this was his way of saying sorry for what had happened between them. She did briefly wonder if he missed her, but knew that was ridiculous! Tugger never got that close to her. If he missed anything, then it was simply her friendship. She patted the top of his paw. "Yes Tugger. We're good."
His smile became genuine. "Alright, lets get back to Noilly. She needs us right now."
Tugger and Jenny re-emerged in the main room, to see Noilly and a few tears that had fallen down her cheeks. They walked back to Noilly in silence and weren't sure any words would comfort the himalayan at all. So Tugger retook his seat next to Noilly but was still very observant, in case Jenny would need his help. Jenny knelt down on the ground of the den in front of Noilly. "Don't be alarmed Noilly, I'll be as gentle as I can." With her paws on Noilly's knee's, she slowly opened Noilly's legs. The frown was evident on Jenny's face, when she heard Noilly speak.
"Can you tell if I'm pregnant?"
"I'm afraid it's too early to get any positive results. You'll have to get scanned in a couple weeks. I'm sorry honey."

Jellylorum, Seffina, Cassandra and Panthera sat with Kara. Kara knew they were talking about something girly, but she had drifted from the conversation when she spotted him in the distance. Of course he was followed by Demeter, and their little brat. She narrowed her eyes; her eyes trained on the three. Baby Zander was crying away, like always, in Demeter's arms. Rumpus had his own arm around Demter and Kara barely stopped her growl.
"Right Kara?" There was silence. Seffina nudged Kara,"Kara??!!" Still, the sand main coon did nothing. So Seffina resorted to pinching her friends side.
"Ouch. Who had the guts to do that?"
Seffina grinned,"Meh. Perhaps ya will pah attention next time."
Kara shrugged,"With your pointless yammerings on toms and the best hairstyles, and how to get a tom to notice you. On and on...I don't think so."
"Ya know. Ah don't think ya 'ave a right to say anythin'." Seffina pointed,"Since when 'ave ya fallen for our brave Rumpus, hmmm?"
"That's absurd."
"Ya aren' goin' to tell meh you're fallin' in love wi'h Demetah. Are ya?"
"Don't be daft Seff. You know I'm not into queens."
"Right. Onleh when yah're inteh threesomes."
She scoffed, though didn't make any more efforts to deny attraction to females. Seffina knew better, but didn't say anything further.
"So what is up? Do you really like Rumpus, or do you just want a relationship? Meaningless flings and empty one night stands not satisfying you anymore?"
She gave a sidelong glance at Cassandra,"Maybe."
"Wow."
Kara sighed,"I want to try the dating thing; see how far it might go."
She paused,"Rumpus is technically single, why can't I ask him out? That thing with his brother, I'm sure he's over it. Not like I was really going to kill Alonzo."
"Ah don't think yah 'ave teh worry 'bout the Alonzo inciden'...jus'-"
She trailed off and Jelly added on to what Seffina was trying to say. "Rumpus just had a baby with Demeter. I know you don't consider Demeter a friend, but she was one of the FEW who supported Old Deuteronomy's decision to accept you as a jellicle. To hit on Rumpus and try to date him so soon after the birth of Zander is a bit inappropriate."
"If you want to make a move for Rumpus, wait for him to put himself back on the dating scene. Both he and Demeter aren't dating right now."
Kara's ears folded backwards,"They have a no dating pact?"
"Yes. But don't you worry your pretty sandy tail off. I'll know the moment they're both ready to start dating again."
Kara nodded, Panthera had her nose into everyone's business. The only thing she hadn't learned first was Gus and Deut's relationship; though she swore up and down that she had a hunch about them the moment she met the two.
"Hey Kara, cheer up. There are plenty of other toms you could start a relationship with."
Kara took time to consider that statement. She'd spent so much time crushing on Rumpus. He was not only strong, with a good sense of humor, and incredibly attractive, but she saw the way he treated Demeter. He was very tender, and respectful of her. Kara wanted to find a tom like that for herself. Since she knew she wanted a tom like Rumpus, she just started crushing on him. And hadn't looked at any other tom as a possible prospect since. Now, she really wasn't sure why she hadn't stopped to think about other toms. That was not like her at all. "Like?"
Seffina rolled her eyes up, thinking of toms, one or two that would be a good match for Kara. "Alonzo, would 'ave been perfect foh yah 'onestleh. Tho' Ah thin' yah damaged tha' possibiliteh beyon' repair."
Kara lightly growled, and then threw a chunkful of grass at her closest friend.
Seffina giggled,"Wha' 'bout Admetuhs?"
Kara stopped,"Hmm, Admetus. He is a guardian, he has muscles like Rumpus. I do admit he is quite attractive."
Cassandra was smiling too, thinking of the tabby guardian. "He has that strong silent thing going for him."
"Isn't he and Krystalle together?" Panthera intruded.
"No. Ah think they are gettin' closer, but 'e isn' with 'er. Ah say 'es free. Besides a little competition never 'urt."
"Who else?" Kara liked the idea of her and Admetus, but if coming between Demeter and Rumpus was inappropriate then driving a wedge between Krystalle and Admetus would also be wrong. Besides Krystalle had the ability to sense the emotions of others and Kara feared Krys would know what Kara was going to do, if she did ask Admetus out.
"How about Plato?"
"Ehh." Kara saw their looks. "He is more interested in queens like Bombalurina. That's not me and I don't want it to be me."
Cassandra spoke up again,"There's George."
"Mungojerrie, or Jagger, or Adonis. Oh pick Adonis. I've got my eye on Jagger." Panthera cooed.
Kara sighed,"I admit Adonis does have some desired traits and Jagger is extremely sexy, but they are younger than I am. I don't want to be with someone more immature then myself. No offense to them. As for Mungojerrie, I have no doubt that a relationship with him would be really fun. I have a feeling that's all it'd ever be. He doesn't seem like he'd want something more."
She paused to think of George. Indeed, he was younger than her. Not by much, but one wouldn't think so. George had this unique ability to see the perspective of others; he was very understanding and perfectly reasonable. He was more mature than his actual age. He was also the brother of Admetus, and like Admetus, he was very handsome in his own right. Before she could respond though, Jelly pointed at her.
"I've got it. I know who you'd like."
Kara raised her eyebrow,"Who?"
"Daisy."
"That tall scrawny nutcase?"
Panthera chuckled,"He's a character, but a nutcase? Think you're going a little too far."
"Whatever. He's even more immature than Bill Bailey."
Panthera's eyes went wide, shaking her head. Seffina rolled her eyes,"Now tha's an exaggeration, if Ah eveh eard' one."
"He's a little odd, but this whole thing with Gilbert proves that he is more mature than he lets on. I'm thinking there's a whole other side to him that he hides from the rest of us."
"Hell Cass, if you like him so much, then you date him."
"I think I will." Her eyes flashed in contentment.
Kara really wanted to get away from the subject of her, because she knew they'd only continue to throw more names in her face. She did not need anyone else in her business and knowing what she thought of certain toms.
"So we've discussed potential toms for me, and we know who Pan and Cass like. But what about you two? Who do you guys have your eyes on?"
Jelly flustered,"I don't care if you judge me, but I've got mine on Bustopher. There's something about him."
"You know what I've heard on the street?" Panthera whispered as though they were in a crowd, which they weren't, and didn't want anyone to pick up what she was about to say. "I hear that his whole popularity and masquerading around town at all the pubs and clubs is just a front."
"For what?" All but Kara asked, interested.
Kara gave Panthera props. Even for the most bogus story, she could still pique the interest of those she was gossiping to and keep them glued to her every word. There was a certain power in that. She rolled her eyes though,"Oh come on. It's not a front. Just look at him. He's fat, so obviously, he goes to those places to eat."
Panthera glared for a second, before continuing. "Well I've heard that he has this whole undeground networks of spies. Relaying all sorts of information to him from all over the city."
Jelly giggled, not really believing it. "That'd be cool, if it were true."
"Yeah." Kara spoke,"I'd even date him, if it were. Too bad it's just another one of your high flying tales."
"So what about you Seff? Which lucky tom do you have your eye on? Or queen?"
Most knew Seffina was bisexual. She grew up on the streets, not that every alley was bisexual, but she was a whole lot more open minded growing up. She really found beauty in everyone. She had her fair share of female partners, though that was something she had not told others.
"Oh, lemme thin'." She pondered, but it was clear when she had thought of someone. "Gilbert. Ah know 'e was a little rude teh meh before, but Ah understand why now. Ah think 'e is so cute! Tho' Ah like Victeh, 'nd Coricopa'."
Kara grinned,"And what queens do you have a crush on?"
"Does it matteh? Besides yah 'nd Ah, 'nd perhaps Silberiah...there's no otheh bisexual queens."
"So then, do you like Silberia?"
"She's certainleh attractive. But is not mah type."
"So gossiping, not surprising." Rumpus, with Zander in his arms now and Demeter at his side he nodded,"Ladies."
They all clammed up, though knowing there was no way either of them had heard the group gossiping about Rumpus. They each gave their own smile. Rumpus would have asked what was going on, but Zander kicked his foot out of the loose blanket he was wrapped in.
"Looks like he's going to grow up to be like his dad." Panthera chimed.
Demeter nodded and Rumpus laughed softly. "He's got the kick of a fighter, that's for sure."
"So what brings you here?" Jelly asked out of curiosity.
Demeter gazed at Jelly. She knew Jelly and Jenny use to be really close, but in truth she felt she and Jenny were closer. She assumed it had something to do with Jelly hanging around the gossip gang. Still, she did consider Jelly to be a friend, even though they weren't all that close. "Well, the scouts went out earlier, with their newest member. Teaching him, but they were suppose to be back by now. Have they come through this way at all?"
"Yeah, Admetus was telling me that he and some of the other guardians have searched the other entrances, with no luck."
"No sorry."
"Can' yah use yah're power teh locate 'em?"
"My power does not have the greatest range. Right now, it could only reach just a little strip of area outside the junkyard, as well as inside. If they aren't by the border of the yard then I won't pick them up."
He sighed, handing the ever squirmy Zander to Demeter. As his eyes shone a different shade of Crimson, the group stared at him in amazement. Aside from Demeter none there had ever seen him use his power before. Blinking his eyes, they slowly returned to normal. Personally, Rumpus despised being a mystic, it wasn't what he had wanted in life. When Demeter brushed her tail against his thigh, he shook his head.
"Don' worreh Demeter. They'll show up." Seff stood up, placing a paw on the golden calico's shoulder. She peered at Zander, smiling at the
tyke. He was the first infant that she had ever been around; in a long time.
"'E realleh is a cutie pie."

Rumpleteazer snuck passed Tumblebruts. After being caught and punished by Old Deuteronomy for stealing; she was appointed to be a scout. At first, she was performing a service for the jellicles after stealing from a few of her friends. However, she loved doing the scout duties, slipping into the city, on the look-out for any cat in need and spotting suspicious Hex behavior without being seen by said Hex. Then reporting back to the leader. Assuming therre was anything to report. She found that she got the same thrills and a similar adrenaline rush sneaking into the city, scouting the borders of Hex territory, as she got when she and Jerrie would go out stealing. She kept Jerrie's secret, but things were still tense between them. He was her best friend and she was certain that she had some feelings for him-nothing real deep. More of a crush, but that only turned into a deep friendship bond over time. She missed him, but at the same time she wondered what else he was keeping from her, what else he lied about. She looked over to the side, watching Quaxo teaching Adonis the ropes. He was just recently appointed to be a scout. Adonis was a quick learner though, and was getting along fairly well with them all. He came up beside Rumpleteazer, as soon as he buzzed Quaxo off, in a joking way, for repeating unnecessary things.
He wrapped a arm around the tiger,"You're in deep thought."
Tumblebrutus was further on ahead, not quite out of sight or hearing range, but was more focused on checking for Hexes then engaging in conversation.
"Oi'm foine. Seems loike ah slow dai though."
Adonis, intently gazed at her, making sure this gorgeous queen really was alright, before directing his attention back to Quaxo. "That raises an interesting question. Do you...we have more slow days scouting, or more interesting spying without getting caught-adrenaline pumping days."
"Slow." Quaxo retorted.
Adonis was both happy and sad about that answer. Sure he wanted excitement, but risking his or one of the other scouts life for some cheap thrills wouldn't be worth it in the end.
"I see. Anything you guys do for fun on the slow days?"
Teazer looked at Quaxo and they both grinned. "We do sometimes sneak up and spy on some of the local tribes in the city."
"Gang's would beh ah more accurate term fer 'em, Quacks."
"True. They're so few in number. Some of them have been getting more violent though. We suspect it might have to do with the Hexes. We just have no proof."
Adonis surveyed the streets, having been living with Jagger on them not too long ago. He was thankful he hadn't been living on the streets long enough to learn about or be picked up by one of the Hexes.
"Your life, and Jaggers would have been much different if one had. It's great Rumpus brought you two to the junkyard." Quaxo smiled, at his new friend.
Adonis face contorted into confusion, before realizing he had spoken that outloud. Rumpleteazer started laughing at Adonis' amusing face, and it wasn't long before Quaxo and Adonis joined her.
"Shut up!" Tumble warned, in full alert mode. He waved his paw then made a gesture.
Adonis had just learned from Quaxo that that move meant trouble. So they scattered, as soon as Tumble whispered 'Hex Patrol'. Each other them dove into some sort of cover; Tumble into a gutter, Adonis hiding amongst garbage in a tin barrel, Rumpleteazer in a box behind the tin barrel, and Quaxo in the ditch next to the street covered in mud. They remained silent when they saw a few Hexes approach. They really couldn't see them, but they were listening.
"This is pointless."
"Growltiger sir. We've searched everywhere. It is probably just a myth."
The big tom growled,"Even so, Pryce. Macavity wants this Relic of his, and our job is to find it. So if we have to tear the city apart just to prove to him that it does or doesn't exist. Then that's what we'll do."
One of the other lesser Hexes sighed in frustration. "Even if it does exist. It's just going to be a worthless piece of junk. I don't get it."
Pryce shoved the other Hex slightly. "We're not suppose to understand, just obey. So lets get to it."
Growltiger whistled and turned his back. Unseen he rolled his eyes, agreeing that this was a pointless goose chase and a total waste of time.
As soon as they left, the four scouts re-emerged. "What was all of that about? And what Relic are they talking about?"
Tumble shook his head. "I'll bet you a weeks worth of chores and fresh rats that this is just the beginning. I feel Macavity and that lot of them are up to something."
Teazer already was headed back to the junkyard. "We need tah tell the Leadeh 'bout this."

To Year One Fanart
